WHAT IS FUTSAL?
Futsal is a fun, fast-paced and exciting small-sided soccer game that came from South America.
Fabulous for youth soccer players, the game of Futsal develops technical skill and ability. In the tight spaces of an indoor court technique matters. Players enjoy hundreds of touches on the ball as the sphere speeds across the smooth, glossy floor of the court. In Futsal, players often find themselves one-on-one against an opponent and quick decision making is important. With the opposition constantly attacking, maintaining possession of the ball is critical and this helps develop great passing skills.
The 2019 Spring Rebel Academy will introduce players to futsal and a focus on footwork. All sessions will be held indoors at the Ridnour Athletic Complex (The RAC) in Lynden.
The Rebel Academy is a great way to learn the beautiful game and build a life-long love of the game.
BUILD A FOUNDATION
The NCA Rebel Academy is a fundamental development program aimed at challenging players that love soccer. Our technical sessions are for those players looking to really improve their skill set and feel they are ready for the next level past recreational soccer.
Our 5-session curriculum will cover the following:
-
Ball Mastery- fundamental control
-
Technical Striking- proper passing and shooting
-
Possession- shielding and body position
-
Creativity- 1v1 moves and going to goal
-
Passion- love the game, meet new friends and make new memories
At the end of the Academy your player will be placed on a 3v3 team to compete in a memorable tournament to showcase all of the skills they've learned. Both a Girls and Boys team champion will be crowned to wrap up the event Friday, March 15th.
